Introduction to WordPress workshop, Tuesday 13th, 2012

WordPress is one of the most popular,simple blogging platforms on the web today. It has made it easy for anyone to create a blog and share their ideas with the world. In this workshop we plan to show everyone how to do the basic functions of wordpress and get started on their own.

  • How to install/setup wordpress – For people that don’t have hosting we will be using wordpress.com
  • How to make a post (hello world, my first post)
  • How to create a page (about page)
  • How to add links (Share the link love)
  • What is a theme and how to find/install one
  • What is a plugin and how to find/install one
  • How to use widgets and menus work.

If we have time, advanced topics such as security and trolling for lulz

When: March 13th, 2012 @ 7:30 pm
Who: people who have basic computer knowledge and would like to learn about wordpress/blogging

You will need to bring your own computer.
If you already have hosting that will help a lot.
